Thanks so much Tim for such a great post and the great wisdom it contains. I love the quote from the senior police officer: "common sense is not an appropriate tool for a police officer because it leads to unpredictable outcomes. What we need is more guidance". There is guidance in spades such as the "guidance" given to Metropolitan Police that jihad means "inner struggle" and so is nothing to worry about. The four horsemen don't line up with those in Revelation but are instructive. However, it is hard to see a turnaround from the path that has been chosen.
I will keep this quote up my sleeve: "Reason and knowledge (“guidance”) are no substitute for wisdom and intuition (“common sense”). "
Very good article. The comments on the NHS are spot on. My mother was bursar at St Stephens hospital in London for a few years in the 70s. She remarked then how few administrators there were to cover that huge hospital. I wish I could remember the numbers but I am pretty certain it's now an order of magnitude higher.
Money transferred - US$157 - I did write a note to Corey saying that you were sorry that the A$ was so weak. He will be very grateful xx

Thank you as ever, Reuben.
